05/08/2002 Entry: "Santorini"

Whew! A day and a half down in Santorini, and we're not sure how much to go! The weather has been poor and there are no high-speed ferries tomorrow or Friday, so we may try to stick it out 'till Saturday. Otherwise it's nine hours on the ferry, not cool.

Santorini is a very beautiful place, with a rich archeological history, so if the weather is going to improve we would love to stay longer. We are staying at a beautiful new hotel called the Blue Sea Suites for a nicely discounted price. We would have no problem extending our stay here! Next stop on the web is a weather forecast!!

We were in London for a day and a half, and we managed to stay on budget even though it is the most expensive place I've ever been! We did a lot of walking along the Thames the first (half) day, then bought tube passes (excellent value) the second and went all over. We're looking forward to slowing things down a little sometime soon...

We hope all's well with everyone back in Canada, and we look forward to sending more updates soon!

Hi Nathan and Jennifer!
Too bad about the weather but at least you're not getting burned and it is much better for travel in the cool weather! Everything is fine at home. Not much new. No major scandals or anything. The Ontario Ministry Staff are getting back to work but it will take a whikle to sort out all the backlog! Weathger was cool here today as well as it was only about 10 C. I had a tournament at Royal Niagara for the Boys and Girls Club and I wore 4 layers of clothing.
Always great to hear from you both and am pleased you are seeing some beautiful parts of the world!

Love from little Queenston.....David
